Nos pasó que hicimos un import a los json de validation messages y pasaba en dev pero se rompió la dependencia por npm.

Eso es porque language no está en el compilado, sino que se descuartiza todo durante el proceso de build.

Estaría bueno tener un test que ejecute el compilado (lo ideal sería que corra todos los tests contra ese código).
