At the OSFC hackathon, we ended up with a corrupted BMC image (#188). This caused a boot loop in the bootloader linux kernel (the fs would fail to mount and then init would panic) and since the bootloader kernel disables lpc, there was no chance for recovery. Ideally we would have some recovery option in this state.
