@sw-yx Hi, my name is Richard. I'm a graphic designer and I love making contributions for open source projects. I see that they want a new logo for your application. If you wish, I can do it for you without any problem ... I can present some modern ideas that would improve the appearance and image of your project

Hey Richard!! by all means, please do! It doesnt have to be a graphic logo even.. if you have a font you really like the look of we can also go with that. totally up to you 😅 love to see what you come up with and of course you get all the credit

Pay attention to understand the context of TypeScript logo and React logo

@sw-yx I see that the project is a compilation or a guide to use the three components react / typescript / cheatsheet, however I do not see a specific name of the project. My question is .. will the logotype carry the name of the three components ?? or they want a specific name to identify their project in a more original way

@richardbmx oh that's entirely up to you 😅 I was originally thinking just one logo for all the cheatsheets.. but having the each cheatsheet's name could be interesting. btw there won't only be three, i already have plans for a couple more... so if we do that we'd need some simple extensibility. all of them should have one word names really

do you have any ideas? if not its ok, you dont need to commit to this, its just for fun to make it look a little nicer :)

@sw-yx Perfect is what I needed to know so I work in a complete package. I'll work on it when I have some ideas I'll present them to you here

@sw-yx Hello happy day ... sorry the delay was somewhat busy, here I would like to present my proposal based on expressing the concept of cheatsheet I have added at the end of the word a symbol that represents the cheatsheet and that can be used in your other projects just by adding the name of the components as the React and the TypeScript are added in this case. I hope you like it and if you want some change you just have to ask for it I can gladly do it, if you want to use it without modifications I can create a PR adding the design

hey richard! this looks very nice! I like the colors and the icon! but the relative weight of the title and subtitle feels abit imbalanced to me (😅 i feel bad giving this feedback because i am not a designer)

I also wonder if we can adjust the relative importance. we're used to saying "react typescript cheatsheet" now, but this reads "cheatsheet react typescript" which doesn't flow as well. i know the idea is to make it extensible so we can swap out the bottom text as needed, but i wonder if there are other ways to do that.

if it helps to have some visual inspiration to work with - here is one that @csantiago132 has worked up for just general React + TS content (not cheatsheet specific) that I do like -

"TSX" would not be easy to extend when adding more things (can you give a hint in what direction you are thinking?), as it is very specific to the combination of react and ts.
I'll try playing with the words in a way that they will still be recognized by the "target audience":
ReacTS
ReactTS
RTS
... ?
I have not checked if those " words" are already taken and it looks as if there isn't much room for playing if the order is fixed.
I agree that the flow is best this way.
My first though would be to flip the title and subtitle.
Just 2 more cents from a non designer 😀

haha yeah.

i dont have much direction! no grand master plan. i dont believe that extendability should influence design that much, its just a nice to have. main thing is a very basic visual identity that we can use on talks we give (to point people here), or as a social media embed, etc.

might be worth checking out other similar repos to get inspiration...

i'm gonna ship a small version of @csantiago132's logo for now. still leaving room open for @richardbmx and anyone else to mock up alternative, cheatsheet specific logos we all like!
