I am having a hard time to get a log file of users of the web service, am I just not finding the documentation?

Iirc all logging is done using syslog().

aha so I'll have to change the default logging level to be able to see accesses and process them with go access?
Maybe, or look at your syslogd setup. You can see what priority and facility are used by grepping the source tree.
