What qualifies as a Main Window?

EnumWindows is used to enumerate all windows.

GetWindowThreadProcessId is used to examine the process ID and thread ID of each window.

If PID matches, GetWindow is used to filter any owned windows.

For example, the IME (Input Method Editor) window is owned.

Finally, GetWindow is used again, to see if the window has any children. If not, it is considered not a main window, but rather, some kind of (hidden) message window.
