This is a course organised at the University of Oslo and funded by NORBIS.
This course cannot be carried out as planned. UiO is closing all teaching on campus from Friday 13 March 2020 and onwards to reduce the spread of the Corona virus. There will therefore be no teaching in this course on campus in Oslo in the planned period (23 March to 3 April).
The course will be provided in an online / digital form using various means. There will be some lectures using video conferencing facilities, some recorded lectures, some self study of lecture presentations etc.
We will use Zoom for online teaching. Please get familiar with the software and make it work well on your computer. Here is information about Zoom on the UiO webpages:

We will record the sessions and make them available for the course participants only.
We will use Mattermost for collaboration, questions and discussions. All teachers and students should be members of them team. Please log in and follow the channels there.

All students need to use their own laptop computer. SSH Terminal is required to access a Cluster. Windows users should install Putty.

The Saga HPC cluster will be used for hands-on exercises and for the test. A project account for the course will be created. All course participants will be members of this project account.
