Roundtables

Changes for the roundtables including:

• Updating the navigation in the LHS to be easier to follow and less complex
• Updating the group navigation and layout to be easier to navigate
• Adding in new categories and permissions to support guest access, along with fine-grained permissions for members
• Support of new private categories and forums for various use cases internally at Topcoder

Performance & New Editor

1. Page times have significantly decreased. We’ve seen initial page load times go from ~6sec to < 1 sec due to caching fixes
2. We have added our own custom editor that supports markdown, and now LaTex.

Initial Release Fixes

Key fixes include:

• Reverting to the "rich" editor. This one supports markdown, but can be a bit tricky to use. Note that this is temporary as we are building our own editor and hope to have that ready for the next release. (if you have any thoughts / wants for a new editor, please let me know!)
• Challenge survey post now has the link to the challenge survey filled in properly
• Default posts after challenge creation make more sense now (feel free to offer suggestions here as well)
• Emails from the forums should handle attachments much better now
• Following / bookmark functionality is cleaned up a bit
• Can now view in flat, threaded, or tree views, similar to the old forums
• File attachments now download with a proper filename
