Coding in nem.github

Hi.. I am a university student and currently trying to mingle with blockchain.. Recently I set up the private test network using catapult-service-bootstrap and I try to run the coding provided in https://nemtech.github.io/guides/category.html.. however.. it doesn't run and comes with error messages.. I would like to know if the version on catapult-service-bootstrap actually affects the compatibility of the coding provided from the link above? I will try to upload the error messages asap as I can only use my university's pc for it..
