  1. Connection watchdog (#21) 

    * Reset Spotty Connections

  if the last packet received
  was more than MAX_PACKET_PERIOD_MS
  ago, disconnect and reset.
  This value is defaulted to 1second.

  this also speeds up disconnection
  notification

* increase watchdog period to 5 sec

 this change is less about resolving
 spotty connections and more resolving
 an issue reported on discord of one
 user whose shotstopper does not detect
 disconnection from a bookoo scale.
