How to  Smooth scroll an item into view

- Currently we can scroll to an item but it is not smooth
- Take a look at what the smooth version may look [like](https://codepen.io/rleve/pen/jObeRN)
- How to implement this feature or would be even better if the library has it. I certainly couldnt find a method for doing this
