Ruby/RoR
1. install ruby from http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/downloads/

use 1.8.6 if you want hassle-free installation

use 1.8.7/1.9.1 if you want something faster, BUT it require some config. read the documentation carefully.

2. install rubygems

3. install rails

gem install rails


Latex/
1. install miktex

http://miktex.org/2.7/setup

2. install texmaker

http://www.xm1math.net/texmaker/

Git
1. download git

http://git-scm.com/download

Download window version.

2. register at github

create a repository

give me the link so I can clone your directory
