  • Please tell us about yourself (include an email address):

Hello, my name is Omar Ahmed. I am a recent computer science grad. My email address is omersalahabuzaid@gmail.com. I'm developing this application as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah) in memory of my grandmothers, may Allah have mercy on their souls.

  • Your purpose in using this API:
I am building an app with all the Islamic data ad free(Tasbeeh Counter, Prayer Times, Islamic Calander, Qibla Direction). This project is intended to be an ongoing sadaqah jariyah, benefiting users while also serving as a source of continuous reward for my late grandmothers. I want to use this API to access accurate and reliable hadith to include in my app, to make sure that users have access to authentic knowledge.

  • API rate limits:

Maximum requests per second: 10
Maximum requests per day: 10,000

  • Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?

For my app, programmatic API access would be better. That way I can have the most up-to-date information to users and avoid having to manage large offline data dumps inside the app itself.

  • What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?"

I would like the hadith data in Arabic and English.

  • What programming language will your API client be in?

My API client will be written in JavaScript/TypeScript, as I am developing a React Native mobile application.
