Add common structs & code for S3 support according to ADR

This is done when

• all structs that have been defined in the ADR (Add draft ADR on S3 object definition documentation#177) have been implemented
• potential supporting code has been added

It may make sense to do this together with one of the PRs implementing this in the operators
