Spyder Kernel Restart Issue

What steps will reproduce the problem?

Steps to Reproduce:

Open Spyder IDE.

Run any Python script.

Attempt to restart the kernel via Kernel > Restart from the menu.

Observe if the kernel restart takes an unusually long time or does not complete.
