Add changelog

Please consider providing a textual changelog so it is easier for users and developers to see what changes from version to version.

I agree. Especially concerning breaking changes if there are any.

We are currently in the process of updating a major commercial project to a new version and while I appreciate that this project is free to use and open source, the lack of a changelog makes it very hard to update since we can never be sure an update won't break things, thus testing has to be very extensive and time consuming.
I can imagine that this will discourage other developers from adopting the spring framework for other projects.

Adding a changelog, at the very least for breaking changes, would hugely benefit your work and I would be really thankful to see it added.
