I'm currently building Markdownify, an open-source OCR solution powered by VLMs built for RAG ingestion pipelines. This is a solution to a problem I faced myself having looked at different types of complex layouts in the legal documents. There isn't a good enough solution that is cheap and secure. This is an effort to do just that.
