Hi, my name is Stuart, and I write code. Sometimes it's even somewhat decent code.
My side projects are usually dual purpose:
- So I can learn something. Web dev changes fast, and these projects give me a reason to try new things and learn new ideas.
- Share information. This goes right the way back to the first projects I did for a gaming community on another profile. It's something I want to continue doing, so a lot of my projects either focus on sharing information or organising it somehow.
Here's a selection of the repositories I work on that have some sort of purpose:
ourflags.lgbt (repo) | screenshot.help (repo) |
---|---|
Our Flags is a reference for pride flags and identities. | How to Screenshot is a website with information on how to take screenshots on various platforms. |

$1 a month
Select- Get an email from GitHub confirming the donation (I mean, this would happen anyway).
- Cause me to need to deal with taxes (this would happen anyway too).
- Lose $1 each month?
- Get a sponsors badge on your GitHub profile.
- Get access to a private repo containing a recipe for carrot cake.
- It's just a recipe for carrot cake. You probably shouldn't be justifying your sponsorship with this.
$5 a month
Select- I will bake the aforementioned carrot cake and dedicate one slice of it to you.
- Just once, though.
- I guess this means that if more than like 12 people do this in a month then I'll need to bake two cakes.
