Who are you, and where are you from?
My name is Nakanishi Hiro, and I am based in Japan, where I conduct research in cryptography and optimization algorithms. My activities can primarily be seen on GitHub, where I work on my research and development through numerous repositories and projects. -
What are you working on?
I am mainly engaged in research in cryptography, with a particular focus on isogeny-based cryptography. This is a type of post-quantum cryptography that can secure information even in the age of quantum computers. Additionally, I am conducting research on an algorithm for multi-partitioning large-scale graphs. I am using this algorithm to work on a social implementation of optimizing the collection routes of garbage trucks in a certain city. -
Why is their sponsorship important? How will you use the funds?
Research in cryptography and optimization algorithms significantly contributes to the security and efficiency of society as a whole. However, to advance this research, a vast amount of time and resources are needed. In particular, for concrete social implementations like optimizing the garbage truck collection routes, high-performance hardware resources are required, which involve considerable costs. The funds from sponsorship will be used to purchase such hardware resources, develop new algorithms, and help in activities that return these results to society.
