I am a solo developer working on local diffusion inference and fine tuning, and I publish everything that comes out of it: the engine, the app, the LoRAs, the datasets, and the VRAM numbers I measured getting there.

Inline Studio is a free and open source canvas for AI filmmaking. Every generation becomes a take you can return to, every image carries the graph that made it, and the whole thing runs on your machine. No account, no hosted service, nothing leaves it unless you reach for an API node.

Underneath it is Inline Core, a Python diffusion engine I wrote from scratch. It runs Z-Image Turbo, Krea 2, FLUX.2 and MiniMax H3 from single model files, fits each one to whatever card it finds, and trains LoRAs for all four. GPL-3.0.

What sponsorship pays for

Most of the work that makes this usable is measurement, and measurement costs GPU hours. Getting MiniMax H3 from 66.3GB down to 40.3GB, or getting H3 LoRA training onto a 16GB card, meant renting cards I do not own and running the same job until the numbers held. Sponsorship funds:

  • GPU time for VRAM benchmarking from 8GB laptops to 45GB datacentre cards, so the compatibility table is measured rather than guessed
  • Training runs for the LoRAs I publish on Hugging Face and Civitai, dataset included so anyone can reproduce them
  • Maintenance: issues, releases, the extension registry, and support in Discord

Everything stays free and GPL-3.0 whether or not you sponsor. Sponsoring means the next model lands sooner and fits on a smaller card.

$100/month covers about 80 hours of rented GPU time, which is roughly what it takes to benchmark a new model across the VRAM range and train the LoRA and dataset I publish alongside it.
