Hello everyone 👋,

I'm Brett! I'm an astrophysicist currently transitioning into the area of data science. I have a strong passion for promoting science and sharing open source projects in astronomy and data science!

Current Projects:

  • Predicting the Orbital Obliquities of Exoplanets Using Machine Learning: I have implemented random forest regression and classification from Python's Scikit-learn to try to predict the orbital obliquities of exoplanets based on the observable properties (features) of the exoplanets themselves, their orbits, and their host star's. Parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 are currently available. The Jupyter notebooks with the open source code for the random forest regression model and classification model are available on my GitHub page.
