Hi, I'm Austin. I'm a Rust engineer, and I'm from Boston MA. I'm also the author of:
- tab-rs, a terminal multiplexer that is designed for software engineers. Tab allows us to configure persistent sessions and rapidly context switch between them.
- lifeline-rs, a dependency injection library for message-based applications.
- dali-rs, a GPU rendering library that creates high-quality digital paintings.
Right now, I'm working on tab. Tab began as a side project, and an incredible engineering challenge. But after a year of development, it's a tool that has become useful to a growing community of users. I've recently shipped v0.5.0 which included a built-in fuzzy finder, configurable keybindings, a config linter, and many other features. I've also been regularly shipping patch releases with smaller features and bugfixes.
Recently, the community has been growing very rapidly, and I've been working hard to support everyone, and make sure tab works on a wide range of operating systems, shells, and terminal apps.
Your sponsorship would help me spend more time on tab development. It would help me catch up with community support, help me spend more time developing new features, and help me spend time with open-source contributors who want to write some code.
