I'm Reina, a developer from Norway with education in music technology. I have a passion for dark themes and accessibility!
I've spent a lot of time working on various projects related to Kitsu, the anime and manga tracker. I implemented the dark theme, fixed a lot of longstanding bugs, and am working on the website rewrite. I've also made several tools that aid the moderators on Kitsu.
In addition, I've been an active part in the KitsuCommunity project, like the yearly Kitsu Anime Awards. I designed and implemented the website you vote on, did videoediting and made video components, and I've been a major part in developing the various processes that have made the anime selection diverse and solid. I've also been working on some additional tools that will make life easier for us in the future, that are still unfinished.
As much as I love what I'm doing, I can't work 100% in a corporate setting. Paying me gives me some more stability despite my disabilities and lets me do more of what I love. It helps lower my stress regarding the future, as while I'm currently making just enough on disability that I don't go in the negative each month, that's only because I've been fortunate enough to get cheap living for the next couple years. However, that is temporary and eventually I will have much higher costs.
Funds donated to me will help cover living costs and will show your support for what I do for Kitsu and the Kitsu community. I'm an unpaid volunteer, so I appreciate any donations :)
