Become a sponsor to Dawid Zbiński
Hey, I'm Dawid — an engineer with 13+ years of experience building web apps and open source tools (hourgit, axios-auth-refresh, html-attribute-folder). I care about simple software that does its job without getting in the way.
Currently working mostly on hourgit, as I've found my new passion for Go and time tracking. I've been a developer long enough to know that most time tracking tools weren't made for people who actually write code. They interrupt your flow, demand manual input, and never quite fit how developers actually work — switching branches, jumping between projects, losing track of hours.
So I built Hourgit — a CLI that hooks into git and tracks your time automatically. Switch a branch, and it just works. No timers, no browser tabs, no "what did I do last week?". Your working hours are configured once, and overnight gaps, weekends, and days off are handled for you. You can still use it as any other time tracking software, creating manual logs, exporting pdfs, etc. But the main thing is - you don't have to really think about it.
What your sponsorship helps with:
- Continued development and maintenance of hourgit
- Cross-platform testing and releases (macOS, Linux, Windows)
- Keeping the project free and open source (GPLv3)
You might also know me from axios-auth-refresh, a token refresh plugin for Axios. I like building small, focused tools that solve real problems — and sponsorship lets me keep doing that.
Thanks for considering it. Every bit helps keep the lights on.
The goal is mainly about Hourgit, which is a git-integrated CLI time tracker that logs your working hours automatically as you code. Sponsorship helps cover domain costs, multi-platform testing (macOS, Linux, Windows), and — most importantly — building exporters for popular time tracking platforms, so you can use hourgit and sync your data with a single command. Longer term, I can potentially add a graphical interface on macOS, Linux, and Windows to make hourgit accessible to less-technical teammates, so everyone on the team can track time the same way without exporting data anywhere.
