Nokogiri leaves a 101MB tmp directory #977

After installing Nokogiri, vendor/ruby/ruby/2.0.0/gems/nokogiri-1.6.0/ext/nokogiri/tmp is 101MB. Is this really a temporary directory, and so could it be deleted after successful gem installation? When you have many independent projects with their own version of Nokogiri installed, this amounts to a lot of disk space!
