I am a 3rd year Ph.D. student at UC San Diego, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering. I am a part of UCSD Biomedical Image Analysis Group, advised by Prof. Marc Niethammer. I transferred to UCSD from UNC Chapel Hill in Fall '25, where I was a PhD student since 2023. Previously, I completed my Bachelors (B.E.) in June '23 majoring in Information Technology at Jadavpur University, India.
Currently, I am broadly working on foundational models for 3D medical image analysis (segmentation and registration). My interests broadly encompass multimodal learning (Vision + X) for computer vision, medical image analysis and fine-grained representation learning. I also collaborate with Prof. Praneeth Chakravarthula on unified image restoration and Prof. Josep Llados on document understanding.
Prior to starting PhD, my research background focused on self-supervised learning for various computer vision applications, particularly on low-resource data (medical imaging, human sketches, signatures etc.). I also occasionally work on audio or language processing.
