Settings option: disable grouping by tag and description

In my daily routine, I prefer to just see when and what I've been working on, rather than tracking the time spent on each project. The current grouping of records, which orders them based on the last record, is a bit confusing to me.

It would be great to be able to disable grouping in the settings.

The Issue is, that I cannot see a chronological order of my tracked entries.

We are an agency and working on 4-5 projects in parallel, which all need to be tracked. Sometime jumping between multiple projects within the hour.

Getting an overview of your day gets harder, if there are groups between the "real" entries. Without having a chronological order of the entries, it is also hard to see "gaps" in the entries. Where did I forget to track? Where have I left Project A and started Project B?

Solution 1

A "Enable Grouping" toggle button, which activates time entry grouping if enabled or shows all entries in chronological order if disabled.

Solution 2 (hard & probably overkill)

Toggl Track solves this with:

1. a timeline view in the macOS app, where you are also able to drag and drop time entries
2. a list view in the web application

This is how the timeline view looks in Toggl:
