Installing the app on Mac either through the DMG direct download or the brew target result in the following message appearing on app launch:
GraphiQL Error Message

OS: MacOS Monterey 12.6.7
Chip: M1 Pro

Still happening on
OS: Sonoma 14.3.1
Chip: M3

(though, not a surprise since it's more likely related to macOS security)

IIRC: It used to be that running the downloaded or --cask with a right click gave you the opportunity to okay the execution.

Looks like there is a workaround open it in the section entitled "If you want to open an app that hasn’t been notarized or is from an unidentified developer":

https://support.apple.com/en-mide/102445

I have no idea how laborious it is to get GraphiQL in the notarized or recognized category; so wanted to do a bit here to track down info.

right click the app > open

you will then be able to bypass the warning

Whether you get the option to bypass depends on the security figuration of your machine.
