I have just upgraded my system to Almalinux 9 and I found out python3-pydbus is no longer available in any of the repos.
I just wanted to point out this issue, in case it could be a good idea to move to another bus library, since last version of pydbus is from 2016.

In the end I managed to get input-remapper up and running, however I am not quite sure what worked. Whether it was installing pydbus trough pip or manual installation of the package for almalinux 8.

pydbus is incompatible with python 3.11, some distros have patched it to work.
Given the lack of maintenance upstream it seems like a very good idea to move away from it.
