Hi, are there python bindings for SeqAn3? I found bindings for an older version https://github.com/JohnReid/pyseqan
but last release was in 2014.

Hi @BjornFJohansson,

many thanks for writing us. We do not actively maintain python bindings for any SeqAn version at the moment. There are some ongoing collaborations to provide bindings, but this project is currently on hold due to lacking financial resources. Right now we are looking forward to the first stable release 3.1 in spring next year. We might reevaluate the situation with the bindings after this release, but it will mostly be a community driven project. There is another project that allows to integrate c++ code into python: https://cppyy.readthedocs.io/en/latest/. However, we never tested it with SeqAn and as of now we do not support clang because of some missing features, respectively compiler bugs.

I hope I could at least spot some light on this topic.
