My laptop has a specification, but it is a piece of crap, so it does not satisfy the spec. Use isSpecifiedBy,
ALso, this could be used for a product model, the model has a spec, it does not satisfy the spec,

I have been using isSpecifiedBy for many years. I have a separate ontology for specs and characteristics for some of our client work.

I have. THe problem is, each situation is different, requiring a slightly different approach. I wrote a wiki article about this.

I like the idea of having isSpecifiedBy, here is an example of where it can be used along with operators that we have use on various client projects.

I've defined isSpecifiedBy in at least 2 client ontologies, so I'd be in favor of it.
