Currently, batch permission changes can be performed per assay, investigation, sample(s), etc. However, in some cases, we would like granular control over the permissions— for example, the ability to change permissions for a subset of samples based on certain criteria, such as per sample type, experiment sample template, ...
Could we add a feature that allows users to filter samples by specific criteria before performing batch permission changes?
Suggested Implementation:
Add a filter option in the batch operation interface that allows users to filter samples based on criteria like sample type, EST or even date of creation, project, or any other metadata. Once the filter is applied, users can select the filtered subset of samples and apply the permission change to the selected subset of samples.
