Status of various converters

Daisyproducer uses a mix of pipeline1, pipeline2 and home-grown converters. Many of them have been migrated to pipeline2 by Bert. In order to get an overview of all the work to do create an overview of all the converters in use and their status regarding pipeline2 port.

Braille

• currently done via the master branch of https://github.com/sbsdev/dtbook2sbsform
  • using the sbs-braille-tables (currently no public git repo)
  • using the dtbook_hyphenator (and sbs-hyphenation-tables) which hyphenates all text nodes. This is invoked via Python before the actual translation
  • built via ant package
• in the future via the braille_tables_module branch of https://github.com/sbsdev/dtbook2sbsform which contains the pipeline2 module
  • what is the state of file:///home/eglic/src/dtbook2sbsform.old/? Is this just an older version? (Check state of dtbook2sbsform.old?  #6)
  • how is hyphenation done? (How is hyphenation done in dtbook2sbsform pipeline2 module #7)
  • test this module with the newest pipeline 2 (Package the newest Pipeline2 sbs-infrastructure#3)

Large Print

• currently done via the dtbook2latex script from pipeline1 and some tex machinery (texlive, tcolorbox, etc)
• in the future via the pipeline2 module in https://github.com/sbsdev/dtbook-to-latex

  • merge bug-fix branch 2406 (Merge branch 2406 dtbook-to-latex#4)
