Per https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/sandstorm-dev/xfrSiNYWYw8 , having timestamps would help people use log messages to debug their problems more easily.

For one thing, it might be nice if this integrated with syslog or systemd logging.

But I don't care much about the implementation, just the idea that we could get timestamped log messages.
