The Portmaster Notifier is not functioning on Windows 10.:

I have tried reinstalling Portmaster and restarting Windows several times, and even after opening it, I am still unable to get it to work.

  • Core & UI is working fine

Before installing the Portmaster application;
First, confirm that your Windows firewall is working properly.
Open a CMD window as an administrator.
Check if the Windows firewall is turned on and active with the "WF.MSC" command. Or, confirm that the Windows firewall is turned on from the Windows settings page.
With Administrator CMD;
Verify if your source files are corrupt with the "SFC /SCANNOW" command, if they are, try running this command a few times again. If your files are intact, you can skip this step.

Then;
With Administrator CMD;
Type and run "SIGVERIF.EXE", this command checks if the critical files are signed, they all must be signed, if it gives an error, there may be a virus on your system.

With Administrator CMD;
Scan the system with the "MRT.EXE" command.

After these steps, there should not be any other firewalls installed on your system, then try installing and running them again. Good luck.

Hey @uD4ra, thanks for reporting this.
Also, @Mesut-art, thanks for suggesting a way to confirm that the system is clean.

I am still not sure what is the issue.
@uD4ra, you say:

I am still unable to get it to work.

Core & UI is working fine

Can you please elaborate what exactly is not working?

Hi @Mesut-art
Thank you for sharing this!
Windows is freshly installed, every step is followed, and everything works as expected without errors.
I'm currently experiencing an issue with notifications not working.
Rest is fine.

elaborate

Hey @dhaavi ,
I'm experiencing an issue with the Portmaster notifications not functioning. I noticed that the Portmaster Notifier isn't launching when I run portmaster-start. I have attempted to reinstall Portmaster multiple times completely, but I am still unable to get it to work.
