Privacy Policy

Effective: March 6, 2026

Last Updated: March 6, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Disend ("we," "our," or "the Service") processes information when you use our Discord application.

2. Information We Process

When you use Disend, we may process the following categories of information:

2.1 Discord Interaction Data

  • Discord interaction payloads required to handle slash commands and modal submissions
  • Discord identifiers and metadata included in those interactions (for example, interaction token, channel ID, guild context, and command data)

2.2 User-Submitted Payload Content

  • JSON message payload text you enter in the /send modal
  • The resulting message payload sent to Discord APIs on your behalf

2.3 Operational and Error Data

  • Runtime logs and error data generated while operating the Service
  • Diagnostic details necessary to investigate failures, abuse, or reliability issues

3. How We Use Information

We process information to:

  • Verify incoming Discord requests
  • Execute requested Service actions (for example, sending component-based messages)
  • Return command responses and follow-up status messages
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot incidents
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Service

4. Data Storage and Retention

4.1 No Intentional Persistent Message Database

Disend is designed to process requests in transit and does not intentionally maintain a long-term database of user-submitted payload content or sent message bodies as part of normal operation.

4.2 Temporary Processing and Logs

Data may exist transiently in memory during request handling. Operational logs or platform-generated logs may retain limited metadata or error details for security and debugging.

4.3 Discord-Hosted Content

Messages sent through Disend are delivered to Discord and then governed by Discord's infrastructure and retention controls.

5. Legal Bases and Compliance

Where applicable, we process data to perform the Service you request, pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, and comply with legal obligations.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only:

  • With infrastructure/service providers needed to run the Service
  • With Discord to fulfill requested bot actions
  • When required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request
  • To protect rights, safety, and service integrity

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party platforms:

Their practices may apply to data handled on their platforms.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect data in transit and during processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal information, such as access, correction, deletion, objection, or restriction.

You may also:

  • Stop using the Service at any time
  • Remove the bot from servers you control
  • Contact us with privacy-related requests

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or a higher age where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

11. International Data Processing

The Service may be accessed globally. By using the Service, you understand that information may be processed in countries other than your own, subject to applicable legal protections.

12. Self-Hosted Deployments

If you self-host Disend, the operator of that deployment is responsible for its privacy practices and legal compliance. This Privacy Policy primarily describes the official service and repository project.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates are effective when posted with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
