Create a 0.5 migration guide

The 0.5 release is planned to have several breaking changes from 0.4. I would like to have some kind of guide that lists all the breaking changes, and how to migrate for each one.

I'm not sure where this will live. It could just be part of the CHANGELOG.md file, depending on how big it is.

How is 0.5 developed? Is there a branch? How could a contributor know what are the breaking changes to help write that guide?

It is on the master branch, starting with #2766.

Most of the relevant PRs and issues have the 0.5 Milestone.

I'll try to remember to also mark PRs with the Breaking Change label.

If the changes towards 0.5, including breaking changes are on the master branch, does that mean you are not planning any new release in the 0.4x series?

I'm not sure. It depends on how long 0.5 takes, and what kind of changes there are. The plan is to try to release in a couple months. If we need another 0.4 release, we can easily set up a branch for that.
