Description of the problem:

Then we can create a vector to hold that enum and so, ultimately, holds different types.

There is no valid subject for the "holds".

Suggested fix:

I can't think of a good option that doesn't involve rephrasing the sentence.

Good catch! This should be an easy fix—in context, it is just that "holds" should be "hold"!
