Python 2 End of Life

Dropping support for Python 2

Python 2 reached end of Life January 1, 2020 announcement.

Because of this and because users of EasyGUI usually have the freedom of chosing distributions, EasyGUI will discontinue support of Python 2. The major motivators are:

• Testing will not be required for Python 2
• Some new features, such as f-strings can be used
• The logic should be easier to write and understand.

Please stay tuned for the conversion to pure a Python 3 EasyGUI.
