Hide ChatGPT Sidebar is a lightweight browser extension that lets you quickly show or hide chatgpt's sidebar for improved focus.

How to Use

To use the extension, simply click on the extension icon located in the top right corner of your browser window. This will toggle the sidebar on and off, and you'll see a status indicator showing whether it's currently enabled or disabled.

For the best experience, we recommend pinning the extension to your browser's toolbar so that it's always easily accessible.

Installing the extension from this repository

If you prefer to download the extension from this repository and load it manually, follow these steps:

1. Clone this repository to your local machine
2. Open the browser you want to use the extension in and go to the extensions page
   • In Google Chrome, navigate to chrome://extensions/
   • In Microsoft Edge, navigate to edge://extensions/
3. Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch in the top right corner
4. Click on the "Load unpacked" button in the top left corner
5. Select the folder where you cloned the repository and click "Select folder" The extension should now be loaded and ready to use.
