Data Story	PL_GL_16450717				On the 17th of July 1645 an 'placaet' was published in Gelderland against 'heerlose vagebonden, heydens, landtlopers, &c' (vagrants, gypsies and tramps). It was passed by the Stadtholder and Council of Gelderland and Zutphen. The ordinances deals with the threats these people cause, the crimes they commit, that the inhabitants are not allowed to host them and provide shelter (otherwise they will be fined) and it also orders a wide array of officeholders to act. Punishment for disobedience of the plakkaat is mentioned, the vagrants are to leave within a certain number of days. Also instructions as to where to announce/ post the plakkaat.
