Cannot Audio Capture #77
Comments
Also, unable to "Update Sources" to see new locations, such as French Polynesia. |
What are you using to capture the sounx? rtlsdr? Ham Radio? etc? Please describe your "short wave" setup. |
Scarns I can confirm that Retrieve > Capture and picking a saved sound file does not work. |
Here is a link to some sound files. Sound samples |
Sorry Rick. Didn't mean to drop out. I went into the yard this week and my free time evaporated. Thanks for the files, I'll check those out soon and report back. Steve |
Steve No problem. Also tryinf to get launched. Lots of projects. |
Ok, downloaded the above mentioned files and they do open in WeatherFax. I was able to manipulate them and get them to display on the chart, even through they didn't display correctly because I don't know what I'm doing. So that works on the Mac. However, if I try to play a file on my phone and use the mac's microphone to see if it would audio capture, every time I select "Capture" from the Retrieve menu, OpenCPN crashes. I cannot confirm if it ever worked as I've not really tried before. I'm just using plain old sound input here. No short wave, etc. Just simple audio input. I hope to add a virtual cable and rtlsrd I the future, but I don't have a decent antenna set up yet. |
Cannot do an audio capture on Mac OS X Catalina. Audio capture sometimes crashes OpenCPN. Preferences dialog won't let me select an input. Also, preferences won't let me choose between "Meters" and "Feet".
