Alert the user when the allocated space is filled up during a sync

We currently alert the user before a synchronisation, but it should be ideal to also alert them when that happens during a sync so they know that they won't be receiving new data.

This was first flagged in #83 but we decided to keep this out of scope so it that the UX can be considered more holistically with other potential enhancements, like #89.
