Research how Shiny functions and develop ideas for creating an interactive dashboard for Reg Stats charts.

Some good candidates for starting points could be:

  • cumulative rules by presidential administration (could work towards being able to scroll over a line to make that line in color and the rest gray)
  • agency charts (could work towards being able to select the agency from a dropdown menu - could also add option to compare agencies)

To get us started, the following tasks might be helpful:

  • Finding some example dashboards using Shiny or Dash that might be helpful for us. It would be better if the associated Github repo is available, so we could build on others' code.
  • Comparing Shiny and Dash (or other dashboard packages) on their functionalities and limitations. We need to decide which package we use for this.

@yqz5514 @henhirsch Would you get us started on this? We can discuss this in the next Reg Stats meeting.
