Some questions about the project

Hi! Great project! I have a few questions if you guys don't mind:

• Is the virtual machine part of the project needed for development or using the product? Can't I just install this locally?
• Is there a marketplace for growth plans?
• are there more detailed CONTRIBUTING.md docs to tell contributors how to test code and run in dev mode?
