Markdown Math Problem

Hey everyone.
Although rst is a very powerful documentation type, I prefer markdown. Is there anyway to use Sphinx with markdown and native mathjax or any other support?

Examples:
$$ x = 2 $$
Inline equation with $ x = 2 $
