Yes, the mXHCD.kext didn't work on Big Sur. Yesterday I tried a lot of things and nothing (genericUSBXHCI.kext too... I think there is a way to rebuild this kext with the last SDK but I can't do it), it's a shame because as you can see in the ioreg screenshot the kext is loaded.
I found that only this two kext below (from caldigit) make it work on Big Sur (11.6.2) but it gives me random kernel panic until yesterday when I found a guy on a german hackintosh site that said that disabling the kext IOPCIFamily.kext in S/L/E "solve the problem"... now, I don't know if this kext is essential for something else but indeed work... I have to do some other tests but for now it work. if you want to give this a try and see if it crashes on you too (without modify S/L/E), let me know here thanks CalDigit kext.zip
