I am working on a awesome-python-htmx, seeking your feedback #55

A few of us at PyCon this year got together and brainstormed a new Web Stack that we are calling PyHAT (Python, htmx, ASGI, TailwindCSS). The first thing we set out to do is create awesome-python-htmx; a collection of active tools/libraries/projects in that space.

Your project seems is very interesting and exciting, but it seems like it doesn't yet support htmx, and also it seems to have it's development stalled? I'd appreciate your feedback if you have any on it's inclusion.

In addition to that, if you could also participate in PyHAT-stack/awesome-python-htmx#1 that would be greatly appreciated! Specifically any experiences you have had working with htmx and Python/Django.

Hi! Excited that you found this library, and thanks for letting me know about your initiative - it sounds great. I haven't pushed a new release for a while because I've been busy using it in projects - but I've got some changes in local branches, and I've actually finally started adding htmx support recently. In the spirit of progressive enhancement it'll be an optional extra, but I'm aiming for things to Just Work if you have the library on the page. Hoping to get a release out later this week.

Although I don't want to force people to use Tailwind, I do plan to release a set of Tailwind templates for Fastview at some point, so think this project should end up being a good fit for your list.

I'll follow up here when there's a release that supports htmx.

Okay, that all sounds great. Don't worry about Tailwind, that part is more or less optional, particularly for awesome-python-htmx.

Thanks @nikalexis, I have included it.

As you are active in this space, and critically you seem to actually be using this for real projects (as opposed to just building tooling for fun) would you mind introducing yourself on PyHAT-stack/awesome-python-htmx#2 so we can start getting everyone talking in the same space?
