Something in my memory suggests GitHub works (or worked) this way, and I too was initially hoping that would be supported in markdown-to-jsx.
However, in looking today at GitHub's markdown documentation, and trying it out in various places within their site, I was unable to get tables to work without headers. Can you point to a place (in the site or documentation) where a table is recognized without the header and column alignments?
I agree it would be nice if Markdown let you have a table without a header row, but it doesn't seem like a good idea to strike out on our own and make markdown-to-jsx work differently from other major players in this regard.
Would it be possible to support tables without the header column, like GitHub does?
