RISCV TLS Relaxation ?

Hi @quic-seaswara and team

Thank you for ELD (great work) and please correct me ,one short fallings we see with ELD for TLS relaxation like IE to LE relax etc w.r.t RISCV ... and trying get that custom extensions to linker functionality or linker scripts which can't be achieved with LLD or GNU LD ,please can you enlighten us here ?

FYI ,we are looking for GNU LD replacement @ MIPS.

We are working on improving TLS support in eld with RISC-V. We plan to tag eld sources with LLVM 21.0 release, and we are working towards adding TLS relaxation using TLSDESC.

I raised an issue here #130

If you or your team wants to work towards improving GNU compatibility with eld, we welcome patches.

We are also working towards improving feature parity with lld and maintaining GNU compatibility at this time.

So patches in all directions are welcome!

We have multiple tests and examples in the test folder that verifies functionalities across all the targets that we support.
