Please provide the following information

qBittorrent version and Operating System:

3.3.15. Windows 10.

If on linux, libtorrent and Qt version:

What is the problem:

Every time i close qbitorrent and reopen some time later, qbitorrent always rechecks all incomplete torrents. I do not kill qbitorrent, I always let it close gracefully. It's unclear to me why it's having problem saving whatever state is necessary to know not to recheck these torrents.

Note: i have several thousand torrents in the client, but usually only around 5-10 are in the incomplete state.

What is the expected behavior:

Steps to reproduce:

Is this maybe related to #1788?

I'm experiencing a similar issue. I've got a torrent from which I've only selected a couple files to be downloaded. The path size doesn't exceed 255 for any files (even in the .unwanted folder). Yet it keeps re-checking the torrent every time I start qBittorrent (it of course completes it successfully).

I have this problem in 4.1.6
I shut down my computer correctly and the next time I started qbittorrent, my unfinished torrent started checking.

Closing this as this was reported on a very old version. If you can still reproduce it with latest version please comment to re-open the thread or create a new thread.
